Prior to joining NovoSci, Mr. Barringer was Manager of CV Surgical Services at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he managed the daily operation of the cardiac surgery department. He also served as Chief Perfusionist and Cardiovascular Surgery Liaison where he directed the PI and QI projects in CV surgery and functioned as a surgery liaison to the cardiac surgeons and the cardiac service line. Before Memorial Hospital, He served as Program Director for the Cardiovascular Perfusion program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, directing the clinical and didactic training for perfusion students, was an instructor in perfusion technology, helped develop the curriculum and led the program through reaccredidation.

He has served as a board member on the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology (AmSECT) and the Tennessee Perfusion Association. He was awarded Perfusionist of the Year by AmSECT in 1998. Mr. Barringer holds a MBA in Finance from University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science degree from Covenant College in Georgia. He received a Certificate in Cardiopulmonary Perfusion from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He remains active in the cardiopulmonary and product development communities with memberships in the American Society of Extra Corporeal Technology (AmSECT) and the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA).
