Mike Sorna joined NovoSci as President and CEO of U.S. and Puerto Rico Operations in January, 2002. He has been key in restructuring and reorganizing the company. He has positioned the company for tremendous growth in the coming years through strategic alliances and enhanced product pipeline.
Mr. Sorna brings significant experience to NovoSci with his twenty-five plus years in the cardiovascular market starting with Baxter Artificial Organs Division. Since Baxter he has been instrumental in the success of seven privately held pre-IPO start-up companies. He held senior level management positions and was instrumental in positioning these companies for a successful IPO and/or acquisition. Kardiothor's acquisition by Cobe, MediVac's acquisition by American Hospital Supply, CVIS's acquisition by Boston Scientific, Cardiometrics' acquisition by Endosonics and Endosonics' acquisition by JOMED AB.
